If MV is Oz, then Stonehedges is the Emerald City. pastures, vineyards, glorious, ethereal horses grazing about and then you arrive at your home. Open the door to an immaculate guesthouse. Furnished in a manner that serves as an invitation to all; you have arrived. Take a deep breath , pinch yourself and walk out to your patio where you look up and see sky everywhere. And there is no sky more amazing than the Vineyard sky. At night, you are welcomed by the "Big and Little Dippers". Stonehedges is in West Tisbury, home of the Trustees most magnificient beach, Long Point. Your hosts  (the Shabazian's) are the quintessential proprietors of the property. There if you need them, invisible if you don't. I will never stay anywhere else in this land of Oz. There's no place like Stonhedges.

Our stay at Stonehedges is something we look forward to every summer. The bucolic setting is amazing and private. We love seing the beautiful Friesian horses in the pastures. It is the quintessential Martha's Vineyard experience. Stonehedges is just a short drive from every major village, yet miles away from the hustle ansd bustle. We really love the proximity to the bike paths and its central location to all of the major island roads. We love the way it is set up as two suites so that we all have our privacy. The deck overlooking the property is so relaxing. Many a heated croquet match has been played on the lawn. Our hosts, Mike and Elaine Shabazian, are wonderful. They are thoughtful and attentive, but never obtrusive. It's great that they are available if we need anything. They are a wonderful resource for information on activities, beaches and dining options. We have stayed at Stonehedges the last three summers and we hope for many more; it feels like home to us. We hope that our daughter will cherish the memories of her childhood stays on Martha's Vineyard as much as I do of mine. The island's magic is everywhere, and especially at Stonehedges.
